Snowman?!?

The kids wanted to make a snowman with our the snow that fell. We tried and failed. . . . the snow wouldn't pack so we made a baby snowman that Hunter squished with his snow boot. We decided to play fox and geese instead.

VCUG

Hunter had his check up for his Vesicoureteral Reflux. Reflux for those who don't remember is the abnormal flow of urine from your bladder back up the tubes (ureters) from your kidneys. Normally, urine flows only down from your kidneys to your bladder.

We took Hunter to Primary Children's Hospital for his VCUG which is the test to see if he still has Reflux. We were hoping that he would out grow it in a year like Hailey did. He had grade 2 (5 is the worst grade) reflux on his left side. His reflux has gotten a little better but is still there. He will be on his antibiotic for another year. In a year we will go in to test him again and HOPEFULLY this time next year he will be reflux free.

Hunter and the case of too much Freedom!

Hunter has learned to climb out of his crib and it is a NIGHTMARE!!! Every two seconds he is out of his crib, climbing on a screaming Hailey, or running out of the room. We now have to put Hailey asleep in a different room and then put her to bed after Hunter is asleep. One night I thought Hailey was playing in the living room after I put her to bed.....nope she's fast asleep and Hunter is in the corner hiding and playing. He has learned that if he is sneaky and hides he can get away with playing longer. I also find him in a very messy room asleep in funny places.

HALLOWEEN

The kids loved Halloween. I decided to make both kids costumes this year. I need to remember if I have a bright idea like that next year to start in the summer. Hunter was a dragon this year and Hailey was princess Aurora. Hailey was funny because she insisted that princess Aurora wears red lipstick. I think it was just an excuse to use makeup. :) Hunter on the other hand we had to bribe with candy to get him to put his dragon hood on. He did not want to wear the hood. . . as soon as we started trick-or-treating he forgot all about the hat.

Hailey's dress ripped and it made it really hard for her to walk. So she got tired of trick-or-treating long before Hunter did. Hunter was warming up when Hailey was done. He was all about the idea of getting free candy. Happy Halloween!!!

Hailey's trip to the Eye Doctor

Hailey didn't pass her 4 year old eye test at her 4 year old well check up. We had to take her into the eye doctor to see if she needs glasses. She was lucky enough that her eyes aren't bad enough to need glasses right now, but will need them in the next year or two. She obviously got the bad eye genes from both sides of the family.

Pumpkin Carving # 2

We carried on our tradition of carving pumpkins with Wade's sister and family. We carved pumpkins and made doughnuts. We carved our BIG pumpkins that we grew in our garden. The big pumpkin was big enough to put Wade's head in it. Wade then put Hunter's head in. . . . he was less than thrilled about it. I'm sad to say we didn't take pictures of our pumpkins we carved. With the dozens of pictures we took I don't know how we forgot to take pictures of the finished result!
